This Robin is a regular daily visitor and I never get bored watching its facial expressions when it comes close to the window. Shot through several layers of glass during the January cold snap.  FAB

Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla)

An unexpected garden visitor yesterday was this male Blackcap. It's been about 12 months since the previous visit...could it be the same individual?   FAB.

Red Deer.

During a late December visit to Richmond Park I was fortunate to be able to get reasonably close to a small group of Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) stags who were not disturbed by the 'watchers' presence.

This individual was not the oldest in this pack as he only has 8 tines.

Finally, he gave me a sign to say 'that's enough'!
