Green on Green.

Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri), now a regular garden visitor, perches in the hawthorn.  FAB.

  1. I've still not seen these around my area Frank. Don't know if that's a good thing or not lol
Lovely shot. They look so exotic for this country.

  2. Wow, I never would have thought that your area would have Parakeets, and what a beauty it is too. I love how it blends into the background so well, and yet you notice the lovely shade of red...great Frank~

  3. Keith. Welcome or unwelcome is a very good question!

Mary. Not native of course, but large feral population in south-east of UK and they are certainly exotic visitors.

  4. Lovely pic Frank, we used to have one around here a couple of years ago. I'd see and hear it regularly, but no sign of its this year. Funny, seeing your photo has just reminded me that its one of the local birds that I was keen to photograph when I started my blog.

  5. Linda. Probably was a caged bird that someone released and may have have been predated or flown away looking for a friend!
