Nuthatch.

The forceful 'chuitt .. chuitt .. chuitt' calls of our [Eurasian] Nuthatch (Sitta europaea) have been very loud and far more frequent in recent days so it was great to catch up with one today providing a classic pose.   FAB.

  1. Beautiful little guy! I've seen nuthatches (when we were in Oregon) but they were drab in comparison. Lovely bird.

  4. It is that classic pose I usually find them in and the curve of the branch made a perfect backdrop. :)
