Short-eared Owl.

A very confiding Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus) that I encountered during a walk around Farlington Marshes today.

There will be other images of the birds seen on my main blog (Wildlife Watching with FAB) once I have sorted through the numerous images.

  1. Beautiful birds Frank. I've got a few local to me at the moment. They will leave soon and head back up your way. Mike.

  3. Almost blends in the background. I see the owls fly through the woods but rarely get a photo of them.

  4. You have such luck! I seldom, if ever, see anything as cool as this! That said, I haven't been birding in forever!
