During a very blustery morning on the slopes at Juniper Bottom I saw my first Dark Green Fritillary of the season. This powerfully fast flying male led me a merry dance but I eventually gained just one opportunity as it briefly rested amongst the grasses. FAB.
So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWell found Frank...I'm still waiting to find these on my patch, soon I hope?...[;o)
ReplyDeleteCheers Trevor. A bit of sunshine over the next few days should produce some sightings for you.

I'm still trying to capture a decent butterfly shot. It's a real challenge. Congrats on getting the shot.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous capture! They just don't want to sit still for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI too have been accused of chasing butterflies. I'm happy you were able to catch up with it.
